Creation of Family Room, Cardiology Wards, VHK

Families visiting loved ones receiving cardiology care at Victoria Hospital can now access a private, quiet and comforting environment where they can talk with medical staff, spend time together, or simply take a moment for themselves during what can often be emotional and difficult circumstances. NHS Fife’s cardiology team were keen to create a second calm and welcoming family room for visitors to Wards 21 and 23 having recognised how important this is for families whose loved ones are cared for in the wards.

A larger space on Ward 23 was identified, and with refurbishment and comfortable seating, it has now been transformed into a peaceful retreat.
